The Lumberjack Softball team fell to Lake Region State College 14-10 and 22-5 in their final home games of the season.
The Jacks jumped out early with a 6-1 lead after one inning. However, three strong innings late by the Royals would give them the lead. Adyson Brady led the Jacks' bats with 3 hits including a home run and 3 RBIs; she also stole two bases. Aislyn Richard doubled and also drove in 3 runs as well. Hope Zirk also doubled in the contest. Richard also registered four strikeouts from the circle. Keely Thornton had two strikeouts in relief.
The Jacks got behind the eight ball early and never recovered. Brady had three hits for the second straight game and stole a base her 17th of the season and 33rd of her career breaking Tiffany Hummer's record of 32 who played for DCB from 2014-2016. Brady needs one more stolen base to tie Hummer's single season record of 18. Taidyn Lalonde drove in two runs while Alarryen Fuselier doubled, had an RBI and stole a base. Kaisee Witnicki also had an RBI and a stolen base. Thornton had three strikeouts in a relief appearance.
