2018 marks Coach Davis’ sixth year with DCB Football and his third as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.  Previously, he served as Associate Dean of Student Services and Defensive Coordinator for the Lumberjacks.  Davis has been coaching college football for 25 years with experience at all levels of the game.

In his first year as Athletic Director, the Ladyjacks's basketball program qualified for the NJCAA national tournament, while the Lumberjack hockey team won their 10th national championship.  As the Associate Dean of Student Services at DCB, the school experienced enrollment growth and the expansion of several programs.

Coach Davis' defenses in football have consistently been near the top of the national rankings during his time at DCB.  The Lumberjacks lead the NJCAA in total defense in 2015 and were #1 in rushing defense in both 2014 and 2015.  The 2014 team also lead the NJCAA in interceptions, fumble recoveries, total turnovers forced, and defensive touchdowns scored as the team scored an amazing 11 that season, 7 "pick-six's" and 4 fumble returns for TD's.

Coach Davis previously served as Head Football Coach at McPherson College in Kansas and Head Sprint Football Coach at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania.  He also has been both an offensive and defensive coordinator at the collegiate level.  Dan played football and track at Olivet College in Michigan, where he majored in History and won the school’s Football Coaches' Award for Hard Work and Dedication his senior year.
